Current Volunteer Opportunities:
Driving Volunteer (on call):
Location(s): Vancouver, Metro Vancouver, & throughout BC
Time Commitment: needs based when you are available
Details: If you have access to your own vehicle we have ongoing needs to pick up and transport supplies and rescues both locally in Vancouver and throughout BC. Often these asks come last minute and we would love to have more drivers on our roster to reach out to when the needs arrive! We are especially looking to add drivers that have some weekday availability.
We currently have a need for those driving Hwy 1 East from Vancouver and can drop off food and supplies in Cache Creek, Boston Bar or Spences Bridge.
Event Volunteer (on call):
Location(s): Metro Vancouver
Time Commitment: 1-4 hours
Details: Join us at an event! We attend a number of markets and host adoption events at local Pet Food stores and can always use the help! No experience necessary. Help needs range from transporting supplies to the events, set up/take down, answering questions, selling swag etc.
General Volunteer Application:
Details: We always welcome general volunteer applications! If you have a special skill, trade or idea please reach out.
Current Fundraising Opportunities:
Bottle Drive:
Location(s): At your home or business!
Time Commitment: varies, can be as little as a few hours
Details: Get your friends, family and neighbours together to bring together bottles at a central location that you can then take to a Return-it Express location and drop off on our account!
How: Once you have the bottles, you can return to any Return-It Express location and drop off using a sticker for our account (use account# If you would like to make the event more public, please contact us and our volunteer will reach out to
Auction Coordinator:
Location(s): Remote Position
Time Commitment: varies, can be as little as a few hours
Details: Help us run an online auction! We are looking for volunteers to help us reach out to businesses and the public to acquire amazing items for our auction. The items will need to be inventoried, photographed and priced for the auction and then set up online. Volunteers can help us keep the online auction active and moderate as required. After the auction, volunteers will help connect with winners to coordinate payment and pick up of their winning items!
